hi, we have a problem over 2 months our Informix 11.70 Database hang at random
and in the database server dbaccess mydb is just hanging and not responding,
after 3 months of investigation, we have today suspect a report wich launch a
stored procedure retreinving many rows over 15000 rows, we have simulate the
cas and Eureka the phenomena happen after launching this report, the informix
database is just hanging and no connection is allowed and no error is
launched, only we fing in the online log "ERROR 64 , network error", we did
not why Informix do this and how to solve the problem without touching the
stored procedure.
Ps: when the phenomena is hapening also the chekpoints can take at random many
sconds and sometimes minutes to complete.
the reports is Microsoft report services and the Os is Windows 2008 R2.
Error 64 under windows is hostname is no longer available.
In your sqlhosts do you have hostname or IP
Are you connecting on IP or hostname
Cheers
