We just upgraded to 4gl 6.05 (from 4gl 6.02) on HP-UX 10.20 and got the same error. If you do not use tli, you do no need it. We changed this line in /informix/bin/c4gl: SYSNLIB="-lnsl_s -lstr" to "SYSNLIB="-lnsl_s" Of course, we called Informix support first and they okayed the change. Others have done it too. I never got this on the HPUX 9.04 machine.
