Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Informix (v5.0) gave me an error when it runs a 4GL program.
The error message is:
SQL statement error number -229.
COuld not open or create a temporary file.
SYSTEM error number -22.
Invalid argument
I checked the permission of /tmp which $DBTEMP is set to and
the /tmp has permission 777. Strage enough, if we login on the
machine where the database locally resides, we don't get
above error. The error occur only for remote hosts. I checked
I-NET daemon process and it seems to be just fine. I can run
isql on remote host and get the database.
Any suggestion or advice would be great appreciated.
The environment we have is Sun SPARClassic, IPX running SunOs 4.x and
Informix 5.0 and Informix I-NET.
