Not directly .. but if you are on 9.x release ..and use a CLOB data typ=
e
.there are functions like FileToClob provided to do the needful.
Take a look at the program blobload.ec in the samples directory for CSD=
K.
For your simple case, u can just compile that program and use it for ur=
purpose.

Hi,
I would like to INSERT Byte-Data INTO a BYTE-Coolumn using SQL
This is how it works for SQL-Server:
INSERT INTO tblSlime ( ID, Name, Slime )
VALUES (2, 'Fritz', 0x234323432343234323fc4350fc4350fc4350fc4350fc);
Is something like this possible for INFORMIX
