Campbell > City of Englewood, CO If you are using an engine that has triggers (Newer Informix Engines) Try creating a table with an insert trigger on it that calls a procedure that calls a unix program. Program can be a 4GL that creates a file or whatever. You can pass the unix program paramaters via fields, you can even pass the unix program blobs just by putting the blob in the table.
