100k year in Seattle, hmmm the salaries must have jumped. Most Oracle DBA jobs have been outsourced to India. 26 Oracle DB's, 2 Informix DB's, and 1 SQLserver DB to support, I am definitely underpaid :). >>> DA Morgan <damorgan@psoug.org> 08/24/05 2:44 PM >>> Database wrote: > I am on a search for an Informix DBA professional. I can't speak to the market for Informix DBAs. But a competent Oracle DBA in Seattle currently makes around $100K/year without near the expense in housing and the commute of NYC. This salary seems very low unless they are looking for a trainee. -- Daniel A. Morgan http://www.psoug.org damorgan@x.washington.edu (replace x with u to respond) sending to informix-list
