Problem converting to IDS 9.3

HP-UX 11.11 When trying to a database server convert from 7.31 to 9.30, or revert back from 9.30, our customer is getting these messages from one of the databases (whose conversion, according to the online log, failed with error message "alter access_method informix.rtree add am_defopclass = informix.rtree_ops"): -9853 Duplicate purpose purpose_name used for access method.
