Database Administrator position available

This position will be responsible for the physical design, planning, forecasting, implementation, modeling, installation, maintenance, performance, security, monitoring, integrity, availability, backup/restoring procedures, problem analysis and resolution, consulting and in-house training for the strategic database systems operated by the computer center. Requirements: computer science; business data processing; database analysis and design theory; information engineering; demonstrated analytical skills; strong problem solving skills such as diagnosing and assessing; demonstrated proficiency with Informix and/or Windows-NT SQL server database software products; planning and supporting large OLTP and Decision Support databases; demonstrated proficiency with the C programming language, UNIX SVR4 and/or Windows-NT systems administration, and how system utilities are used with database products; knowledge of project management;consulting experience on large development projects and presentation skills. A minimum of 8 years experience with increasing responsibility in administering databases; casino industry a plus; Informix product training; UNIX SVR4 systems administration training; advanced C language programming in a UNIX environment; BS in Computer Science, Database Administration,MIS or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
