The new group was formed over a year ago in a blaze of publicity - NOT. Having been involved with INFUSE for a large number of years I was a little disappointed to find that the membership requirements for the new group prevent me from joining, it would also prevent all the freelancers that I know. Maybe the freelancers should form their own, at least it should be able to avoid all the sales pitches that used to be given. The gist of why the old group went bust is right(ish) but there's a lot more to it than that. All the main players of Infuse are not involved with the new group AFAIK. The reasons vary from not allowed to join (me), moved out the UK, company no longer uses Informix, and got totally and utterly pissed off with Informix UK and their lack of support. The group can be found via www.informix.com but I can't find any other mention of it on the net. The old Infuse site is still running (well the mirror is) and takes a reasonable number of hits asking what is happening re another group. The Informix contact for the UK group is Terry Lawlor (tlawlor@informix.com ??) I'd like to start a replacement....
