ESQL-C programs and cpu usage

Hi, We have been using ESQL-COBOL for a while and a short time ago we have migrated many of the ESQL-COBOL programs to ESQL-C. Some users have told me that the ESQL-C programs uses more cpu than ESQL-COBOL ones (same programs written in ESQL-C). This is something that I couldn't verify yet. Anyway, is it possible? If it is possible, is there any way to reduce the amount of memory usage and time of cpu of the ESQL-C programs? We use SE engine and Unix. Please, e-mail to me.
