Re: MS Access to Informix via ODBC - sorting problem

My Thanks to all on these lists who responded on my sorting problem. The solution that I used was the: 'WorkArounds=1073741824" setting in the 'ODBC.INI' section of the Microsoft register. This is documented at: http://www.intersolv.com/datadirect/download/docs/odbc/Readme/95ntread.htm "To use these options, we recommend that you create a separate data source for each application. Using the registry editor (regedit on Windows 9x and Windows NT 4.0, and regedt32 on Windows NT 3.5x), open the ODBC.INI section in the registry. In the section for the data source you created, add the string value WorkArounds (or WorkArounds2) with a value of n (for example, WorkArounds=n). The value n is the cumulative value of all options added together." The implication that I got from the documentation was that it only worked in 'ivinf914.dll` which is apparently still in beta, but I tried it with 'ivinf913.dll' and it appears to work fine. Again Many Thanks. Now I can get on to the next level. David Wright Programmer/Analyst N.W. Health District Georgia State Dept. of Public Health 100 W.
