Help with 4.1 NLM version

Does anybody use Informix On-Line for Netware version 4.1 We have a copy of this version to use as the development platform for new project using PowerBuilder as the front end and we get horrible performance. The SQL we are using seems straight forward and the tables are not that large (150,000 rows, @25 byte rows). Our selelct times have ranged to over a minute. This is with one user running a query. Profile indicated 99.35% cash hits. This is a read only database (datais updated monthly in a batch routine with no users on). Our platform is a Novell server (dedicated) using a 486 - 66MHz chip and 16Mb. ram. It has a 1GB scsi drive. I realize this is no great box, but I would think it would be good enough to turn the query. Does anyone have some suggestions for this niave develper? Thanks alot in advance, Kent
