As I recall, the easiest way to do this in Wingz is... DEFINE dl, dt, dr, db dl = DESKLEFT() dt = DESKTOP() dr = DESKRIGHT() db = DESKBOTTOM() DESKTOP (32000,32000)(32100,32100) {move the desktop way offscreen} OPEN "mytext.txt" {opens offscreen, borders of active window will still flash} DESKTOP (dl,dt)(dr,db) {restore desktop to screen} HyperScript Tools provides much more refined doc opening like being able to open windows at specific locations, hidden, with passwords, comma or tab delimited, show/hide scrollbars, etc. Hope this helps, Jim Van Riper, Informix PS If you get this, let me know.
