Can't get PAM authentication to work

I have IDS 9.40.FC3 installed on a Solaris 9 box. The Solaris OS has been successfully configured to authenticate against an Active Directory server via Samba with winbind PAM module. I can log into Solaris with an AD username and password. However, I have been unable to get Informix to work with PAM. My sqlhosts is as follows: adclient ontlitcp adclient.domain.com informixadclient_pam ontlitcp adclient.domain.com informix_pam \\ s=4,pam_serv=(pam_winbind),pamauth=(password) The only documentation I can find is the release notes which give only minimal examples. So I really have no idea if my sqlhosts file is correct. Using dbaccess, I can connect to INFORMIXSERVER adclient with a username and password from /etc/passwd. When I try to connect to adclient_pam with either an AD username or /etc/passwd username, I get "1809: Server rejected the connection." Can anyone help? Thanks, -- Jeff jlar310 at yahoo
