Upgrade to Informix 3.81 ODBC driver

The following statement worked under Merant 3.60 driver but doesn't work using IBM Informix 3.81 driver. INSERT INTO lmn_opt_desc(id, short_desc, long_desc, voucher_comment) VALUES(68, 'test', 'test', '') The merant driver was obviously doing something clever to be able to insert into a 'text' field.....anyone know of a workaround ? create table "informix".lmn_opt_desc ( id integer not null , short_desc varchar(255) not null , long_desc text not null , voucher_comment text, primary key (id) ); ------------------------------ This e-mail is intended for the named addressee only.
