David, As long as you don't have to switch tapes your ok. You can supply the responses to tbtape in a file and then redirect standard input from that file. Example: tbtape -s < tbtape.responses The file tbtape.responses might look something like..... 1. 2. 0 Ignore the line numbers of course, line 1 being a "return" and line 2 being the level of backup that you want to do. (I hope these are the correct responses.) I would think that if you want to do this completely automatically, you may want to wrap the tbtape command into a controlling script that will test for the readiness of the tape drive, eject the tape when done, etc...
