L'Chaim to you too! Mike, I have a similar situation, except that my problem is how to display a row of data in DISPLAY ARRAY when I don't have room for it all. In 4GL, here was my solution: Whatever row I'm on, I am still keeping non-displayed data from the same record in a separate array, like a description. WHen the user presses a function key, I open a smaller window and display some of the rest of the data. Of course, I do something like this with the code: on key (CONTROL-N) let ca = arr_curr() call display_note(my_array[ac].note) With NewEra controls, this should be easier: Place 3 or 4 buttons on the form. Each button's event handler will display a smaller form containing some other fields for your current record. Figuring out how to categorize your table's columns in logical groups.. well, that's just your problem. ;-) I will also not help you figure out a snazzy title for each button.
