in "ON KEY" block, display is not working, help?

Hi All, "DISPLAY xxx TO yyy " statement is not working while the control is in "ON KEY" block. The following is the code. Could some one help. INPUT l_date, l_status FROM frm1.l_date, frm1.status ON KEY (CONTROL-B) IF INFIELD(status) THEN CALL display_status() RETURNING l_status DISPLAY "The val is: ",l_status sleep 2 <--- fine at here DISPLAY l_status TO frm1.status <--- not displaying, why? but displays when I leave the field and go to next. END IF ....... ...... END INPUT I am using INFORMIX-4GL Version 6.00.UE1(SunOS), Online 7.x database. Thx in advance, //Ramki.
