Hi Poonam, What operating system are you on? Did you copy your source server ixbar file to the target server? If it is quite large you may want to edit it. Can you post your ixbar file? And your bar_activity.log file? And the exact command you are using to do the restore? Please forgive me if you get this 3 times. . What operating system are you on? Did you copy your source server $INFORMIXDIR/etc/ixbar.servernum file to the target server, same location? You said your ONCONFIG was the same, so you did not change SERVERNUM correct? Is your ixbar file quite large? (if so, you may want to edit it to "hint" informix). Please post your ixbar file. Please post your bar_activity.log file. Please post the exact error from the ISM logs. (I work with netbackup, not ISM, but they probably have things in common). Please post the exact command you used to do the restore. Hi, Is the target server in a different machine?. If so ISM does NOT allow you directly to restore a backup made in one machine in anoither. You have to follow a procediure called IMPORTED RESTORE. Look at the latest (11.10) version of the manual "Informix Stiorage Manager" for a step-by-step procedure: http://publibfp.boulder.ibm.com/epubs/pdf/22963880.pdf regards POONAM TANDEL wrote: > hi > > I have taken level 0 backup(Using Onbar) from source server and i am trying to > restore it on target server. > Ism configuration, chunks config,OS and backup version is same in both the > servers. > But during restoration it gives en error as follows > > 2008-01-05 15:29:05 28549 28548 XBSA Error (BSAGetObject): Backup object does > not exist in Storage Manager > > i am using informix version 7.31 > > pls help > > > ******************************************************************************* > Forum Note: Use "Reply" to post a response in the discussion forum. > > See you at the IIUG Informix 2008 Conference > The Power Conference for Informix Professionals > April 27 - 30, 2008 Marriott Overland Park (Kansas City), Kansas > http://www.iiug.org/conf > Registration Now Open!! > > >
