PRESS RELEASE: ASIX awarded $1.5M tax project

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 28, 1995 Seattle - ASIX Inc., a Seattle-based information technolgy consulting firm, was selected by Yakima County to develop a new computerized property tax system that will support the operations of both the County Assessor and Treasurer. The new system will automate the district levy process, exemption processing, property tax calculation, valuation notice and bill preparation, payment processing, and cash and investment management. It will also interface with the County's existing property appraisal and financial management systems. ASIX will use Informix Software, Inc.'s object-oriented client/server tools and relational database product to develop the system. The project will take an estimated 15 months to complete at a cost of $1.5 million.
