Re: USER PROFILE PROBLEM

Not sure if I am missing something here, but here goes .... 1) change /etc/profile; or 2) use the -d option of the unix useradd command to set the user's home directory at creation; or 3) use the unix usermod command to change the user's home directory Hope this helps, sorry if I have missed the point of the question. hello, Informix Gurus.. I have a question. I just installed Informix server on the SCO. whenever I create a user, the profile assigns the path name to PATH = $PATH:$HOME/bin The problem is $HOME = /usr/informix/username that it is supposed to be usr/informix so that the path should include /usr/informix/bin I changed the informix root profile but it didn't work. Is there anyway that I can modify the profile for the new user? Thanks Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Share what you know. Learn what you don't.
