So it was my last chance to kill the user with the kill command. If I cancel a user in this way I must always look if the database is still online or if I have shut them down. My informix support says to this problem, that the only secure way to kill a user is the following Take the Online-sytem offline Kill the user Startup the Online-system But how should I do this when 30 users are working hard with the database? Are there better hints to kill a user???
