Lisyansky Igor, Thanks for the info. Whatever speed or performance gains are available in DB2, this product is certainly no threat to the other products available for NT. If it does become significant in the NT market I will be heading for another career. :-) Maybe the newer DB2 Universal will have more features and tools but I doubt it. There's a lot of catching up to do on this one. Just in looking at the future of NT, this market will become even harder to penetrate when NT 5.0 comes out, with the newer Transaction Server and SQL packaging with the OS. According to the latest dribble from Computerworld, Microsoft is clearly headed for the UNIX Server market. Interestingly there are more and more UNIX server hardware platforms heading to the pentium chip for an architecture. I'm very curious to hear from Informix on when and how they plan to take advantage of Transaction Server. This is something that appears to be "maturing" in the Microsoft domain.
