Try using the supported notation:
SELECT 1+2 three FROM Systables WHERE tabid = 1;
CREATE VIEW three(three) AS
SELECT 1+2 three FROM Systables WHERE tabid = 1;
SELECT * FROM three;
As I noted in a previous email, you cannot use display labesl or column
aliases in all contexts -- the primary one being for computed results such
as three above, or aggregate functions (or, I assume, stored procedures),
etc.
