Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I have a client whose machine I'm about to upgrade to either a Pentium or
a twin pentium, from a 486 running SCO Unix. I realise that a twin
pentium will not be directly supported by informix; I understand that I
have to buy a twin cpu aware version, as well as the SCO mpx extensions.
My concern is that the Informix won't run on the pentium as it will
detect the presence of a pentium rather than a 486, and decide that it
violates the licensing agreement. Is this so? If it is, what do I have
to do/pay to upgrade the informix, please.
TIA
Graham
