hello folks
Can any one tell me at what stage the new onconfig parameters are added to the
onconfig file when upgrading from 11.10 to 11.5.
I have converted two instances from 11.10 to 11.50
One onconfig file has the new parameters at the end of the file the other
doesnt have any at all.
I assume the conversion process adds them at some stage
below are the new parameters added to one instances onconfig file

most of these aren't new at all. Some have been around since 7.10. Some
were undocumented until around 9.30 or so. Others were new in 9.40 or
10.00. There are a few really new ones, but, the server upgrade does not,
to my knowledge, update the ONCONFIG file at all.

Karl,
Best practice is to always take the onconfig.std from the new version of the
software and "port" your old ONCONFIG to it, so you will see all of the new
(where applicable) parameters. If you simply just bring up the instance using
your old onconfig, I believe that you will get whatever the default is for the
new parameters, even though you do not mention them in your old ONCONFIG.
Some of the old methods of setting existing params may also be deprecated, and
the new version of the ONCONFIG will point you in the right direction there.
Joe
