In article <01bbbd15$b98fea00$LocalHost@default>, Saltash@btinternet.com says... > >Anyone running Informix on Windows NT platform. >Which versions / any problems / how much. Would like to be. Bought it. But... a referenced NT-specific manual wasn't supplied and customer service can do no better than to refer me to some other group within Informix to see if we could buy it at additional cost. Have faxed the reference to it from other documentation and am waiting to see what happens. Why do I need that NT supplement? Because Informix and/or our vendor have screwed up on our technical support purchase and neither's in a rush to rectify the situation. And from what I glean out of what I've got, the install procedures are different enough -- some external files becoming part of the Windows registry in NT. So it's sitting here bought and paid for but not up and running. I do know so far that the NT version isn't really what I'd consider complete. The new High Performance Loader isn't suppported nor is OnArchive. Forget about dbCockpit and the other gui measurement tools. And OnMonitor? It's there but dox says it's not supported and will be dropped from future releases (7.20 is what we've bought but can't use). You do however get a pretty icon for "Command Line Utilities." It opens a DOS window. That's all.
