If you have a shell script (say "loadfoo.sh") which says something like:
isql dbname <<!
LOAD FROM "/u/fred/foo" INSERT INTO bar;!
You should be able to catch the output by doing something like:
nohup loadfoo.sh &
This should write *all* output to a file called "nohup.out" in the local
directory. Make sure everybody who needs to has write permission on the file.
So, once again elegance and class lose out to my brute ignorance! :-)
