My I4gl/rds is old and will not let me do some things but that will be upgraded soon. I have only had problems with the icgi_start error when I try to run the cgi program from the command line. If you are using the RDS product, did the cgi_runner and cgi_debugger get installed in the appropriate "cgi-executables" directory? Are the permissions correct for your http demon to use. If you are using the compiled version, I think the compiled cgi programs have to be in the "cgi-executables" directory as well and the permissions have to be correct as well. I have the RDS product so I could be wrong about the compiled version. Overall, it may depend on how your http server is configured. It is worth the work to get it running. I been able to do some things with the CGI tools I could not do otherwise. I am still seeing things that I can use it for.
