CFLAGS for 4gl and ec compiling?

Is there any CFLAGS recommended for 4gl or ec compiling. HPUX10.2/Informix7.23 There are various optimization flags that could be used and the c4gl script supplied by informix usually has the FLG shell parameters blank. What have people used?? -thanks
