Re: How "BETWEEN date1 AND date2" determines century

All this talk about dates!!! I am very concerned. Many of the data entry screens developed in the past only allow room for an 8 character date string. This is often on very busy screens. Please do not forget this or leave it until year 1999. I would suggest that any organisation running any software would be well advised to check their data handling abilities as soon as possible. Recently I was doing some code rework for a major UK company. They had set a century flag in their "homebrew" date format. The existing code would well if it was the 20th century, but didn't work for the 21st. And that same code had been propagated throughout 100s of aplications.
