dbimport from NT to Unix

We have Informix Online Work Group Server 7.12 on both NT and Unix
(Solaris).
By using dbimport/dbexport I was able to migrate databases from UNIX to
NT.
However, the reverse fails. When a database is exported from NT (using
dbexport)
the UNIX dbimport utility fails with the following error message:

Load file has different number of columns than table
Do you want to abort?

Has anyone encountered this problem before, please help!
