ISQL connection strangeness wil 7.11 Online

hi all, i have 7.11 running on a solaris, with sunos 4.1.4 clients connecting over the net. i have found something really strange that i can't explain, and support is working on. when i run isql from the client, and i go into Database and then Select, it hangs. it sits there until i go into dbaccess on the server, and do the same thing. as soon as i hit Select in dbaccess on the server, my list of databases shows up on the client, and i can then do whatever i want: queries, info about tables, etc... it only seems to have the problem in the Database and Select, (although for the first time, it hung on exiting until i did the Database - Select thing on the server). i know everything is set up correctly as fas as the connection goes, because i'm making it there and can query my little heart out once i get past that DB-Select thing. any thoughts, ideas, suggestions? i don't have many ideas at this point, and support hasn't come up with anything. thanks. mickm -- _____________________________________________________________________________ Mickey Mestel mickm@netcom.com -on a beach in thailand to a beautiful, stoned, norwegian woman: "..yeah, it's just another foreign country without ice." -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
