IIUG - Update on Charter Ratification
Posted in 1996
Hello again everyone. Just a short note to bring you up to date on where the IIUG Charter and Bylaw ratification process stands. The open comment period closed the end of November 1996. A copy of the Charter and Bylaws was forwarded to every member of the IIUG with a valid mailing address during this period. During the comment period, only a few inquiries were made. No suggestions or recommendations for changes were received. Around the first of December 1996, I called for a formal vote by the IIUG Board of Directors to accept the proposed Charter and Bylaws as they currently exist. The vote was unanimously in favor of accepting the document. Since there are no changes to be made to the document, we will proceed forward with the negative-only general membership ratification vote. This will open January 1, 1997 and last almost all month. Results of that vote will be announced on or about January 27, 1997. If you have any questions about the procedure, please refer to the ratification information page on our web server at www.iiug.org. Hope your holiday season is a joyous one.
