Its as simple as
"cat /dev/null > logfile_name"
Note : logfile_name must be in the original location.
If you aren't sure of the full pathname of your log file, go to
your .dbs directory and 'more systables.dat' for the syslog entry.
BTW, I don't think that you would be able to dbexport a 'logless' dbs.
