Informix ceasing to produce 4GL ???

Had a very strange phonecall from a company specialising in migration from 4GL -> Oracle, Sybase, C etc. Effectively they were canvassing for business on the basis that the CEO of Informix has anounced that "a database provider would have to be braindead to provide its own tools" - this was taken to mean that 4GL would soon be dead as an ongoing product. Is this true - surely not ??? If Informix 4GL IS not to be developed then how long will support be provided ?? Hope someone can answer this - I am sure I am not alone in using Informix 4GL as our core platform for development. Regards Howard
