how to select

Hai useres, I have 2 instance runing in my same machine. is't possible to select the table from the other database instance. kindly help me by providing the syntax. Use the following syntax: select * from <databasename>@<databaserver>:<tablename> you can also define a synonym to that table. it will be better to use small synonyms. Regards.
