Re: Why is IFMX stock doing poorly?

The company missed projected earnings by purchasing the Datablade stuff. Analyst at Value Line are looking at the ability of Informix to integrate the Datablade (or what ever it is) with the database product line. I have that question myself after looking at past Informix purchase of Wingz client - server and subsequent selling of same. Sybase's purchase of dead horse PowerBlower may have crippled it too, with the switch to the Web - Hypertext interface. Basic demand for database products like Informix is continuing to grow. The stock will recover if earnings skyrocket again and other platitudes to make you feel better , buy low, sell high, etc...
