Rich Yes you can. I have written a shell script that takes backups for = multiple database instances and dumping to one (cooked) disk area. It = allows you to specify a weekly backup schedule for each instance and = does an inline gzip of the TAPEDEV file as it dumps on to disk. We run = it on each of our machines nightly via cron.=20 Email me if you want the shell script to do this.
