RE: STORED PROCEDURES

you can try to evaluate the values of "sqlca" record
the definitione of this record is
sqlca record
sqlcode integer,
sqlerrm char(71),
sqlerrp char(8),
sqlerrd array[6] of integer,
sqlawarn char(8)
end.
The meaning of this record is explained in the 4GL reference manual of Informix,
volume 1, chapter 3. Any way you can find him on Index of this manual.
we use it instead of the " status " variable in this way
select a,b,c from table_namecase
when sqlca.sqlcode < 0
error "ERROR"
when sqlca.sqlcode = 100
error "NOTFOUND"
...
...
...
the values for this variable are the same that for the status :
sqlca.sqlcode < 0 => error
sqlca.sqlcode = 100 => NOTFOUND
sqlca.sqlcode = 0 => FOUND
Is that what you need ?????
If you have some problem finding the definition please write me and i try to help you
