I guess you need a scripting tool

Hi,
There is any way to execute an SQL command (eg select * from table) from a
command window (dos prompt window) from a windows2000/XP client PC "against"
on a windows2000 based Informix 9.x server.
(Something like dbaccess but remotely, executed from client pc on another
windows based informix server 9.x)?
Thanks in advance
SZ

Your
best bet is going to be using VBScript with ADO. The Informix client SDK and
IConnect has the necessary the ODBC and OLEDB drivers. You can than query the
database (I've done this with 7.3 and 9.X servers) and retrieve data that
extract within the
VBScript program. There are a few things that you include in your VBScript to
make
accessing your data easier. Drop me an email if you need specifics.

dbaccess could do that.
I think some place inside IBM there is a standalone dbaccess.
So I suppose that if you have all the client access installed the you
could use this "dbaccess" to execute a query against a remote database
not only that it resides on Windows... it could be anywhere IDS is
supported.
