IFX_AUTOFREE

Hi, We are having a memory problem in IDS, because our applications are not freeing cursors memory. We try using IFX_AUTOFREE variable set to 1, and it works, but there are some cases where the application dumps (error 20481). We think that this happens because the cursor close but the prepare statement continues working. Is there another way to free cursor memory and avoid this problem? Thanks in advanced.

Hello. I should recommend you to ask your development team to always do the best practice "always close your open cursors, before closing your connection". Check this great article from Mr Mark Jamison: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/mydeveloperworks/blogs/gbowerman/entry/always _close_your_cursors115 Regards.
