Re: Do I must buy "On-Bar" utility?

On-Bar will work fine standalone, without the use of an XBSA-compliant
storage manager. In fact, it's the command used by Command Center
(included with OnLine Workgroup Server) to implement Backup and
Restore.
All that the storage manager buys you is advanced data management and
filtering capabilities - backing up to multiple media, encrypting or
compressing data before backup and restore, etc. If you just want to back
up your data quickly howver, Ob-Bar will let you, and the only time
investment you need to make is about 15-20 minutes reading through
the appropriate section in Informix Answers.
