I've had the same message with Intersolv's 3.0 drivers, NT 4.0 SP3, and IConnect 7. Here's what fixed it for me. It sounds like you've already checked these, but it doesn't hurt to re-iterate. 1. INFORMIXDIR needs to be set in Control Panel for the SYSTEM; not the USER 2.
