Well actually the application runs very well under 32bit windozes, but, it has been developed with TPW (Turbo Pascal for Windows), and thus is a 16bit application (runs under the NTVDM in NT) and it uses the Borland 16bit BDE to connect to the DB (Paradox, Interbase or Sybase currently), and the BDE has also an Informix driver, which needs a 16bit client of Informix. The application (we are not the programmers) will never be ported to 32bit, but will be replaced by a completely rewritten version at some point of time.
