RE: oledb & locale problem

i finally solve the problem with the help of your post and an example found in release notes of client sdk. in oledb connection if we give db_locale=en_us.1252 and client_locale=en_us.1252 regardless of client_locale and db_locale values in setnet32 it works. If you simply create the database with the english locale (default) and trying to connect to the database, does this work? If so probably you need to revisit the modification part of the locales. Error -23101 says as follows .. Unable to load locale categories. An invalid locale name was supplied for the locale initialization. Db version is Informix IDS 7.31 UD3 On client side i set client_locale and db_locale environment variables and make the connection tests but nothing changed. Locale setting is tr_tr.8859-9@ifix. i create a connection file on my desktop with right click-> new -> text file. And rename it : For example a.udl if you double click that file it opens the db connection dialog. On first tab page i choose provider: IBM Informix OLE DB Provider, on connection page i give data source as testdb@thales then username and password.
