IDS_9.21.UC2 Problems on IRIX 6.5.22

Hi
Has anyone had the following problem with the Informix Dynamic Server running
on SGI computer with IRIX 6.5.22?
We have Informix Dynamic Server 9.21.UC2 running on an SGI IRIX 6.5.
After the Operating system was upgraded from 6.5.18 to 6.5.22 the IDS Server
stopped working. The Server appeared to be up but access to databases on the
computer froze up our applications. Utilities like onmonitor, ontape and
dbaccesswould not work.
It appears that the network connectivity to Informix will not work. We could
connect out to Servers on other computers but we could not connect to the
Server on the computer upgraded either from on the computer or from remote
computers.
Has any one had this or a similar problem? We have a case with Informix
#403500
but they do not know what the problem is. Informix had us re-install the
software
but it still would not work. We were hoping that we would not have to upgrade
our Informix
software.
The only way we could get Informix Server to work correctly was to bring it up
in shared_menory mode. We can now get our informix programs to work and we can
connect to databases on the computer and can connect to other computers. But
this
means we to not have access to the databases from remote computers.

Check /etc/services is correct - I once saw a Solaris 2.5.1 -> 2.6 upgrade
which
reset /etc/services to the default delivered with the os!!.
What messages do you get in online.log? syslog?
Can dbaccess connect via a network connection? I assume this is TCP/IP?
export INFORMIXCONRETRY=1
export INFORMIXCONTIME=1
and try again...Informix takes ages to timeout before giving an error
normally..
truss (or whatever the equivalent is under IRIX) the dbaccess process and
all
the engine processes and set if any system calls fail!!
