Hi, Does somebody help me with next problem on IDS 9.30 ? Where in the database are written intialization values of serial or serial8 data types? With regards Jozef

You can use DBINFO to find out what values were assigned to the SERIAL ('sqlca.sqlerrd1') and SERIAL8 ('serial8') fields after an INSERT to your table. The IBM Informix Guide to SQL: Reference has a brief discussion on the data types, how they are stored, the default starting value, and the maximum values. You can find the SQL manuals at: http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/informix/pubs/library/list2.html I hope this helps. -- June Hunt _________________________________________________________________ There are now three new levels of MSN Hotmail Extra Storage! The original values are not stored anywhere at all. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@us.ibm.com) STSM, Informix Database Engineering, IBM Data Management 4100 Bohannon Drive, Menlo Park, CA 94025 Tel: +1 650-926-6921 Tie-Line: 630-6921 "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!" |---------+----------------------------> | | "Jozef Horyl" | | | <jho@nr.dflex.sk>| | | Sent by: | | | forum.subscriber@| | | iiug.org | | | | | | | | | 01/20/2004 07:56 | | | AM | |---------+----------------------------> >------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: ids@iiug.org | | cc: | | Subject: Serial, serial8 initialization values [2455] | >------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------| Hi, Does somebody help me with next problem on IDS 9.30 ?
