Physlog 2xsize of logical log. e.g. 1.000.000 kB * 20% = 200.000 kB Logspace. ==> 20 Logs + 2 Logs for Physical Logging = 22 (divisor) ==> 200.000 kb / 22 = 9090 kB for 1 Logfile --> rounded to: 10.000 kB Physical Log 2 x 10.000 kB. Result: 20 Logfiles with 10.000 kB and a physical log with 20.000 kB. Please remember that the dbase needs administative space for every chunk/dbs. Size of logdbs ~ 220.000 kb, Size of physdbs ~ 25.000 kb. For a good performance logdbs, physdbs, rootdbs and datadbs should be placed on seperate hdd's and seperate controllers. Rootdbs, physdbs and logdbs should be created first. Please use continuous backup! Logs are backed up, if they are full and all transactions in this backed-up log closed. Otherwise the log will not cleaned. Hope, that helps you.
