There was a reorganization of the messages between 4.0x and 5.0x. Either 1)set your environment to point to the 5.02 directories and DBPATH to the 4.00 database if both are on the same machine or 2)copy the 5.02 message files to the 4.00 directories. I do not remember if #2 is even safe it will break 4.00 applications, including isql/dbaccess, if any of the filenames are the same. Be careful. If 5.02 is not on this machine you can get the Informix 5.02 RUNTIME (which is mostly just the message files anyway).
